And the Coach at the back said
Everyone attack and it turned into a Bulldog blitz
And the boy in the corner said
Coach, I wanna warn ya, it’ll turn into a Bulldog blitz
Bulldog blitz, Bulldog blitz, Bulldog blitz
Bulldog blitz
Okay – another blitzing day – have sent out lots of mass emails, messages on FB of prominent people, going to the local high school Christmas show – lots of people there :)))
BULLDOGS HAVE A POSITIVE WINNING SPIRIT – LET’S PROVE IT – SKATE HARD – GET THOSE VOTES!!!
Thank you to Robt. Bateman Teachers and Students for supporting our Bulldogs.
I gotta go and hang out with the Secondary crowd more often – they listen when I say, “Text!”
Keep your heads up, Bulldog supporters, and keep spreading the word. It’s hard to get noticed in a bedroom community like Burlington but I don’t think there is anyone in Burlington that doesn’t know what a Burlington Novice Blue Bulldog is now. You kids are as relentless as you are adorable.
Great work Dogs! Our kids have been rocking the Dog vote for you but you boys make sure you are ready to play. We’re rolling into Btown this weekend and we’re leaving with a banner. Keep skating until the buzzer. See you on the ice.
The word is out and the Votes are coming in – emails to our City Councillors, FB postings on QB’s, Mayor Rick, Sports Personalities and Media, Nelson and Bateman H.S. students, JBMH, Erinoak ,Halton District School Board, our Red Dogs, and the constant support of all of our families everywhere!
The DOGS have D efence, O ffence, G oaltending S upporters
Keep the push on Dogs, you now have the votes and the support of the Burlington Oldtimers Hockey and Baseball Assoc. Just three days left… Keep the votes coming…
You can vote for any or all of the team videos at one time – if you like two different videos- then you can vote for them, but then have to wait an hour before voting for the same teams again.
Tim-Br Referees explained this on the FB site last week.
Hope this helps – and hope one of your votes is for the Blue Dogs!
GOOD LUCK TO ALL THE HOCKEY TEAMS PLAYING IN THE TOURNAMENTS THIS WEEKEND.
Skate hard, play fair, team work, keep your stick on the ice – you know all that – MOST OF ALL, HAVE FUN!!!
Our Mayor has just tweeted encouraging the City of Burlington to vote for our Bulldogs – our blitzing is paying off.
Keep up the great support and thank you to all who continue to vote.
Go Dogs Go!!!
PapaGlenn in the lounge at Heathrow keeping the votes going for grandson Andy and the team. Good luck today boys in the tournament. See you at the game tomorrow.
Okay dogs, first thing is first, have an awesome tournament day!
I will be here doing a final day of spreading the word in my high school, though I cannot imagine there is a student who has not heard about the contest!! The word has even spread to other schools in the area! I am lucky to be a parent on such an awesome team and lucky to teach in such a great school! Can’t wait to see game #2 today!
Best of luck to the Dogs at the B-town tournament! Thank you to all the supporters – those in airports (Brad, PapaGlenn), towns across Ontario, provinces across Canada, and our wonderful family and friends overseas! We are so fortunate to have such a great group of family and friends! And thanks to the Burlington community for rallying around our Dogs!
Deep and sincere thanks to all of the thousands of family, friends, classmates, co-workers, local businesses, and citizens in Burlington and points around the world that selflessly gave their time and effort to support our young Bulldogs.
My nephew plays on this team and I, at a distance, am aware of a great deal of people dedicated to voting hourly within the rules and also many people spreading the word to do same within the Burlington community, thus meeting the spirit of the contest.
Understanding that Tim-BR Mart’s intention (coupled with their generosity) was to promote promote the spirit of Canadian minor hockey and provide a once in a lifetime opportunity to some kids, I would say the following:
- Hacking and tampering is a much different issue than auto-voting (Something that apparently was the cause of the re-start and removal of the Facebook vote option,
- If a forensic IT option is available after the fact, why considering the value of the $’s involved, were they not contracted from the beginning to monitor and eject cheaters?,
While a very tough situation for Tim-BR Mart; the way this has been handled, I feel more sympathy for the parents and kids that are going to have to deal with the fallout from this.
As Mr Jones stated these kids and their families worked diligently & word was networked far & wide into communities that had never heard of the Burlington Blue Bulldogs & people joined in & voted legitimately hourly whenever they were able. To basically be accused by others of being the cheaters because of high support is really poor sportsmanship. Too bad these kids are learning that hard work can be erased by cheaters (hackers) that have nothing to do with your honest efforts. Sorry Ethan & teammates – this is one of life’s hard lessons that it is not always fair.
I can not express how disapointed I was to hear of the yet again cancellations of this competition. Our Burlington Blue Bulldogs worked their tails off for every vote they received… My biggest question is how last year a small town like Swan River, Manitoba could receive 43,000 votes and a city the size of Burlington is questioned for receiving 53,000 votes. Were there also hacking problems then? I do not believe it is now fair for the winner to be decided by a random draw. Teams who did not put any effort into the contest could possibly win. Should not hard work and dedication be rewarded or should we be teaching our youth that you can win by sitting around doing nothing…

Why is it I can vote for multiple videos when the rule states:
VOTING LIMIT: You cannot Vote more than one (1) time per Voter Account/email address/computer per hour during the Voting Period.
I tested it and voted for 2 different videos within a minute of each other.
